Fabrication & Robotics Lab

The Fabrication & Robotics Lab houses tools that inspire creativity and creation. 3D print miniature characters for your favorite table top game, laser engrave a custom gift, create an injection mold using our resin printer or make something completely new! Fabrication and Robotics Lab is open for reservations on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This space is intended for users 13 and up. Younger users must be accompanied by a responsible adult who has a relevant badge. Badges are only awarded for the specific equipment pertaining to the Learning Lab attended.

Before using the Fab Lab

You must sign up for Learning Labs to learn proper equipment safety and operation. Once you have attended one of the Learning Labs listed below and received the relevant badge, you will be able to book equipment during Fab Lab open hours. 
   

Learning Lab: 3D Printing 

Learn filament and resin printing basics, setting up a 3D print, and post processing.  
 

Learning Lab: Lasers

Learn the basics of preparing files and sending them to the lasers.
 

Learning Lab: Heat Press

Learn how the use the Heat Press and Large Format Printers.
 

Learning Lab: CNC & Vacuum Forming

Learn the basics of preparing CNC files and setting up the milling bed. Learn how set up the Mayku Form Box Vacuum Former.

Please note

Reservations are held for 30 minutes before being cancelled and made available for walk-in reservations. If you are running late, please call the CFI desk at 479-856-7050 to hold your reservation.  

  • Limited to One Per Day: To ensure equitable access and time for maintenance, only one reservation (booked or walk-in) is allowed per user, per day.
  • Weekly and Monthly Limit: You can make reservations up to 2 times per week and a maximum of 5 times per month.
  • Walk-Ins Welcome: After reservation limit has been met, you may still access tools on a walk-in basis (subject to availability).
  • Respectful Usage: Please be mindful of reservation limits and notify staff if you cannot attend. Reservations are held for 30 minutes before being cancelled.
