Book Drops

When you are ready to return your library materials, we have made it easy for you to do so with multiple drop boxes in and out of the Fayetteville Public Library. 

AT THE LIBRARY  

One drive-up book drop is off the southbound lane of School Ave., just past the Mountain St. intersection.  

One outdoor book drop is located to the left of the Mountain St. library entrance, near the drive-up. 

Three indoor book drops are located as follows: 

+ First floor, next to the south elevator. 

+ Second floor, next to the south elevator. 

+ Third floor, to the right of the conveyor belt.  

Remote Book drops

We have three drive-thru book drops located around Fayetteville for your convenience! They are in the ATM lanes of the Bank of Fayetteville branches located at:  

+ 3120 N. College Ave. 

+ 3150 Wedington Dr. 

+ 1846 N Crossover Blvd.  

Curbside Pickup

+ Curbside pickup is available Monday–Thursday 9am–7:45pm, Friday and Saturday 9am–4:45pm, and Sunday 1–4:45pm.

Place a hold on materials online or by calling the library. 

+ Once you are notified the items are available, call 479.856.7219 to schedule a pickup time.  

+ Come to the library and park in the loading zone on Mountain Street, or in the parking garage by the P1 entrance if it is raining, and call 479.856.7219 to let us know you are here. 

Parking 

FPL has two main options for parking. One is the covered parking garage off Mountain Street. The second is a south lot behind the library on School Avenue. There are several parking spots along both Mountain Street and School Avenue that patrons can also use.

How to get to:

+ Center for Innovation 

The Center for Innovation is located on the first floor of the library. You can best access it via the lowest-level south garage entrance. The entrance will be the first set of doors to the left, before you get to the Preschool Library.  

+ Event Center and Ziegler Reception Room  

The Event Center and Reception room are on the first floor of the library. If parking in the Mountain Street garage, get to the lowest level to find the exit that faces the outdoor Gathering Glade and walk across it to get to the Event Center entrance. If parking in the south lot, walk up sidewalk to the School Avenue entrance and follow the hallway until you see the Event Center entrance on your left and the Ziegler Reception Room in front of you.  

During the library’s business hours, you can also enter the building by using the south parking deck doors. The Event Center entrance is at the end of the long hallway, to the right. 

+ 641.DELI 

The 641.DELI is on the first floor of the library. The best entrance to quickly access it is the School Avenue entrance.
