Calling all book lovers!

Our book clubs are open to EVERYONE, and you’ll have the opportunity to read and discuss a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles. For upcoming book club titles and meeting details, check out events calendar. Copies of the book selection are available at the Reference Desk on level 4 of the library.

Book Talk at Night

First Monday of the month at 6:30pm in the Ann Henry Board Room

Similar to our daytime Book Talk, this group discusses a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles, but is set up for those who need to meet in the evening. From bestselling authors to classics of world literature, these selections are a fun way to expand your reading horizons.

 

Virtual: Book Chatter

First Wednesday of the month at 4pm on Zoom

Tell us what you've been reading! This friendly discussion allows FPL readers to share what they have been reading, and also lets them give and get new book recommendations.

This group discusses a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles. From bestselling authors to classics of world literature, these selections are a fun way to expand your reading horizons.

 

Books & Brews (El Sol)

Second Tuesday of the month at 6pm at El Sol Mexican Restaurant

Enjoy a book discussion outside of the library! This group discusses a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles in an informal environment. You'll read everything from bestselling authors to classics of world literature. 

  

Crimes & Clues

Second Thursday of the month at 9:30am in the Ann Henry Board Room

This group discusses a variety of classic and contemporary mysteries. Whether you enjoy a lighthearted cozy, a hardboiled page-turner, or a “cut from the headlines” true crime investigation, these titles will keep you guessing. 

 

Teens: Boundless Book Society (Grades 7–12)

Fourth Monday of the month at 6pm in the Teen Project Room and Zoom

The Boundless Book Society is a pressure-free teen book club that features critically acclaimed, diverse books. The best part is, there’s no pressure to read the book before the meeting!
